Which has triggered the termination of their FSC chain of custody certification, effective February 22nd, 2019.

This decision follows FSC’s suspension of the trademark license agreement for Mariusz Skrobot (NC-COC-026650) on November 30th, 2018.

FSC suspended Mariusz Skrobot’s trademark license agreement after an investigation by Assurance Services International (ASI) concluded a large volume of non-conforming lump charcoal and briquette products were sold with uncertified tropical content.

Because Mariusz Skrobot chose to leave the FSC system rather than meet the FSC Chain of Custody standards, FSC has decided to block Mariusz Skrobot from certification for the foreseeable future. That means that no certification body can grant them an FSC certificate of any kind.  

Companies that do not, in good faith, follow the requirements of the FSC system will find themselves increasingly under scrutiny by FSC and ASI as the system takes strong measures against companies that trade with non-conforming products and/or use false FSC claims.
